Celebrity hairstylist Jawed Habib and his son have landed in legal trouble after being booked in a multi-crore cryptocurrency fraud case. Reports suggest that over 20 FIRs have been registered across multiple states, alleging that the duo was involved in a massive crypto investment scam promising high returns.
According to police sources, several investors have accused Habib and his associates of luring them into investing large sums in a digital currency venture that eventually turned out to be fraudulent. The total amount involved is said to run into crores of rupees.
Authorities have reportedly issued a lookout circular (LOC) against Jawed Habib and his son to prevent them from leaving the country. The police have also initiated a probe into the financial transactions linked to the alleged scam.
However, Habib’s lawyer has denied all allegations, calling them baseless and defamatory. The legal representative stated that the stylist had no direct involvement in any crypto-related business and that the accusations were a result of false claims made by certain individuals.
The investigation is currently underway, with multiple complainants coming forward from different parts of the country. Law enforcement agencies are also coordinating with cybercrime units to trace the flow of funds and identify other people linked to the case.
Jawed Habib, known for his nationwide chain of hair salons and a strong presence in the beauty industry, has so far remained unavailable for comment.
