Rishab Shetty’s much-awaited ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ continues its strong run at the box office, crossing the ₹334 crore mark worldwide within just eight days of release. Despite a slight dip in weekday collections, the film remains a major crowd-puller, reaffirming its position as one of the biggest hits of 2025.
According to early trade estimates, Kantara Chapter 1 earned around ₹22 crore on Day 8 (Friday), bringing its total collection to ₹334.27 crore. The film has witnessed an impressive performance in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu, while its dubbed versions in Hindi and Malayalam have also been performing well.
The Rishab Shetty-directed mythological action drama has been praised for its storytelling, cinematography, and powerful performances by Rishab Shetty and Rukmini Vasanth. The film serves as a prequel to the 2022 blockbuster ‘Kantara’, exploring the origins of the divine folklore that captivated audiences across India.
