Hassan, Karnataka: Thousands of devotees are thronging the famous Hasanamba Temple in Hassan district to seek the divine blessings of Goddess Hasanamba. The annual Hasanamba Darshan festival, known for its immense spiritual significance, has drawn a sea of pilgrims from across Karnataka and neighboring states.
Due to the heavy influx of devotees, the KSRTC (Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation) has temporarily suspended several bus services between Bengaluru and Hassan. Authorities have stated that the decision was taken to ensure public safety and to manage traffic congestion effectively around the temple premises.
Long queues of devotees can be seen waiting patiently for darshan, with many offering flowers, coconuts, and special pujas to the goddess. Local administration and police have deployed additional personnel to maintain order and facilitate smooth darshan arrangements.
The Hasanamba Temple opens only once a year, during the Hasanamba Jatra Mahotsav, and remains closed for the rest of the year. It is believed that during this period, the goddess blesses her devotees and fulfills their wishes.
Special arrangements have been made for drinking water, medical aid, and security to ensure the safety of the pilgrims. KSRTC officials mentioned that normal bus operations will resume once the crowd density reduces after the peak days of the festival.
Devotees are advised to check the latest travel advisories and plan their visit accordingly.
